This MECS Part 2 practical assessment event is intended for all practitioners who will be delivering the MECS Primary Eye Care Service in the Merton and Wandsworth area.
The fee is £125 per person, which will be invoiced by Primary Eyecare Services after booking and payable at least one week before the event (the invoice will be sent to the contact email address provided when booking).
Practitioners not participating in this specific service may be able to join the event, for a fee of £125. Please contact Anna Buxton.

Practitioners who cancel their booking or fail to attend this assessment without prior contact with WOPEC at least 5 days before the event may be issued with an exam fee of £125.
The assessment is in the form of five OSCEs, each takes 5 minutes. Allow 90 minutes for the briefing and full assessment. The OSCEs are based on the seven LOCSU MECS distance learning lectures. These lectures and MCQs must be successfully completed 3 days before the event. Contact your LOC to obtain the promo code and instructions in order to access these lectures via the WOPEC website.

Practice makes perfect - The only practical element is the slit lamp Volk BIO station, it is expected that you regularly practice this examination technique on your routine, un-dilated patients.
