LOCSU virtual peer discussion. LOCSU Clinical Pathways. Feb 2022

A Virtual Session
Sasha Macken

This event is provided by LOCSU and for practitioners in a Local Optical Committee (LOC) in England.

Virtual peer discussion comprising three clinical cases from primary eye care practice (acute eye care, learning disabilities, low vision). Each case will feature aspects of LOCSU Clinical Pathways, such as Children’s Vision, Integrated Cataract, Minor Eye Condition and Glaucoma Referral Filtering and Monitoring.

The session encourages reflection on how best to use extended primary eye care services in your region to deliver excellent care to your patients. Cases have been kindly provided by various LOC members. Session facilitators will be practitioners from LOCSU and WOPEC. Attendee numbers will be capped at 6 maximum per group to allow good interaction with your peers. CPD points are for 3 interactive peer discussion points.

Further information regarding the Zoom platform invitation and session etiquette will be given by WOPEC. Three cases will be emailed to you a few days before the event to allow you to read them and be ready for your discussion. Cases should be printed or displayed on a second screen for the session, they will not be screen-shared at the event. Good (and constant) visual and audio connection is mandatory to participate and qualify for CPD points
