This event is for optometrists wishing to deliver EHEW services. Practitioners must be fully qualified with a GOC-01 (or GMC) number in order to undertake EHEW training and accreditation.

If you would like to become accredited please register on this website and book onto the workshop and a timeslot for the OSCE assessment. You will then be emailed a unique promo code to allow you to complete the CET approved distance learning lectures and corresponding MCQs. You will be required to attend the assessment as well as a 90-minute workshop. Event begins at 3.30pm with registration at 3.15pm. 

The assessment is in the form of five OSCEs, each takes 6 minutes. The OSCEs are based on the distance learning lectures.

 OSCE stations

  • Station 1 - Volk BIO
  • Station 2 - Patient interaction
  • Station 3 & 4 - Structured Oral’s
  • Station 5 - Referral

Practice makes perfect - The only practical element is the slit lamp Volk BIO station, it is expected that you regularly practice this examination technique on your routine, un-dilated patients.
