This event is intended for all practitioners within the Kent and Medway LOC area who wish to undertake their MECS Part 2 practical assessment
The event is funded by Kent and Medway LOC and free to its practitioners. Those from outside the area should contact Michelle Martins: michelle@jclconsulting.co.uk for availability, details and how to pay the £150 fee.
For further information, please contact Michelle Martins: michelle@jclconsulting.co.uk Results will be emailed to you 2-3 weeks after the event has occurred. The commissioning LOC will also be informed of your results. Practitioners who cancel their booking or fail to attend this assessment without prior contact with WOPEC at least 5 days before the event may be issued with an exam fee of £125 by Cardiff University.
The assessment is in the form of five OSCEs, each takes 5 minutes. Allow 90 minutes for the briefing and full assessment. The OSCEs are based on the seven LOCSU MECS distance learning lectures. These lectures and MCQs must be successfully completed 3 days before the event. Contact your LOC to obtain the promo code and instructions in order to access these lectures via the WOPEC website.

Practice makes perfect - The only practical element is the slit lamp Volk BIO station, it is expected that you regularly practice this examination technique on your routine, un-dilated patients.
