Low Vision Service Wales Accreditation

Practitioners are invited to apply for accreditation to provide the Low Vision Service Wales.

 The accreditation process is funded by Welsh Government. Places are limited and awarded to applicants depending upon service need.

 Accreditation training for the Low Vision Service Wales (LVSW) is done through the completion of two post graduate modules with Cardiff University; Low Vision Theory (OPT001) and Low vison practical (OPT002). More information regarding the modules can be found here:

 All practitioners are also required to complete safeguarding training and dispensing opticians are required to complete an additional two distance learning lectures regarding ocular pathology.
