Postgraduate module in Acute Eye Care

Did you know that Cardiff University offer a postgraduate module in Acute Eye Care?

We are emailing you because you have completed the LOCSU MECS/ PEARS training course and we thought it might be useful for you to be aware of how we can support your education further in this specialist area.

In OPT005 Acute Eye Care 2, practitioners attend Cardiff University for two consecutive days for workshops which would enable you to hone your clinical assessment techniques with patients presenting with acute eye conditions. There are also tutorials and guided discussions of typical case presentations from optometric practice which facilitates discussion and sharing experiences with colleagues. This module also has lectures and online guided learning, delivered via Learning Central, the University's e-learning system, with supporting resources and references supplied.

There are 10 CET points available for the module and the cost in the next academic year is £575, which is similar to the CET grant.

We are accepting admissions now for the next start date of September 2017. To find out more please email us at pgoptom@cardiff.ac.uk or call us on 029 2087 0561.
